Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) is a public health agency serving the 120,000 residents and businesses in Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, and Manhattan Beach. The BCHD goal is to improve wellness through education, fitness programs, and intervention and treatment options. Five million dollars is annually allocated to programs run by more than twenty-five community partners, the Community Care Services for older adults, and screenings and support funds provided by the Community Education Department, the Center for Health and Healing, the Pilates Center, the Breastfeeding Support Center, the Health Resource Center library and AdventurePlex, a youth health and fitness center.
