There are numerous school clubs and extracurricular activities to engage students in extracurricular participation. The highly competitive athletic program enjoys continued success in both boys' and girls' sports as 26 varsity teams compete in the Bay League. RUHS hosts a MCJROTC Program, Beach Cities Robotics, a nationally recognized journalism program for the school newspaper and the yearbook, a very successful Academic Decathlon team, and a four year AVID program.
