Leadership Project History​

Leadership Redondo is an exploratory program, designed to connect individuals from the civic, business and general community together to help enhance and strengthen Redondo Beach. It was created in 2000, on the notion that the more knowledgeable people are about their community and its needs, the better equipped they will be to lead and serve it. Each year, a group of participants will embark on a 18-month commitment that includes: a ten month curriculum, with monthly sessions at locations throughout Redondo Beach, the South Bay and Los Angeles County followed by the implementation of a community project. The Leadership Redondo Program operates through the Redondo Beach Chamber Community Foundation, 501c3 FEIN # 27-2522328.

Leadership Redondo is looking for individuals like you, who want to connect with the community in a meaningful way. Applications from individuals, as well as nominations from area businesses and organizations are encouraged.

• Is interested in the future of Redondo Beach and willing to help shape it.
• Is able to commit the time and energy necessary to complete the program.
• Demonstrates or seeks to develop leadership qualities in their professional or personal lives.

Program Attendance and Requirements
To graduate from Leadership Redondo Beach, participants are expected to attend all sessions. Participants who miss more than two sessions will be dropped from the program without a refund of tuition. The Orientation and Retreat are mandatory.

​Leadership Tuition
Tuition for 2025 Class will be $1,450. Class sessions are typically held on the 2nd Friday of each month. A graduation ceremony is planned by each class to coincide with the completion of the class project.
